Occupying a wonderful beachfront location along Pevensey Bay, this spacious Edwardian-era property has been stylishly updated to make a fabulous holiday home for larger families and groups of friends. With ample space for a four-legged friend to come along, the property provides fantastic accommodation for ten guests, and features Scandinavian-style interiors, a sweet balcony, a welcoming wood burner and a charming private garden leading straight onto the shingle beach.

The ground floor of this stunning property has a spacious double lounge with central folding doors and a welcoming wood burner. The fresh, fully equipped kitchen has a sociable breakfast table, with a couple of steps leading down to the light-filled dining area. The first floor features a bathroom, a shower room, a cosy nook for reading in, and three cheery bedrooms: a bunk bedroom with a selection of children’s books, a pretty king-size room and a delightful double with a large bay window looking out to sea. Further stairs lead up to the second-floor bedrooms: a charming twin and a lovely double, both with magnificent sea views. Outside, the front garden features a range of wildflowers and leads down onto the shingle beach, providing a pretty spot to unwind with your canine pal. There’s also a charming suntrap decked area off the dining room, perfect for dining alfresco.

Situated between Eastbourne (4.5 miles) and Bexhill (8.5 miles), the friendly village of Pevensey is home to the remains of a castle which you and your four-pawed pal can explore. The village also has a choice of great places to eat and drink, and a wonderful long pet-welcoming shingle beach. Along the coast, dogs are welcome at beaches including Holywell, Cuckmere Haven and Birling Gap, all within 12 miles, or heading inland, at the site of the Battle of Hastings (11 miles).

We had a super weekend at WaveCrest celebrating my Dad's 70th birthday. A really lovely, spacious and well-equipped house and a great base from which to explore the lovely surrounding areas. We were four generations and an elderly dog and there was plenty of room for us. The kitchen has absolutely everything you could possibly need and the bonus of the utility room, when travelling with small children, was great. The house was perfect for our party of 10. A mixed group of one granny, several twenty somethings, adults and a ten year old. A fantastic, spacious, well equipped house with many little extras. The games cupboard was thoughtful, as was the outside warm shower. The beds were comfy and the towels luxurious. We loved everything about this house, it worked brilliantly for our three families each with a couple of 0-4 year olds. The space meant we could enjoy some dinner and drinks whilst keeping an eye on the toddlers playing. It was perfect being so close to the beach that we could just spill out of the door. Five of us met at Wave Crest for our annual reunion and we had a thoroughly enjoyable time. The house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed the fact that we didn't need to use our cars at all , as we were able to walk or take a bus to various places each day( We do all have the luxury of a bus pass!)We also ate locally each evening . We loved our week at this cottage, especially the immediate access to the beach. The kitchen is fabulous and so well equipped that we wanted for nothing. definitely a five star property!

We had a lovely stay. The house had everything we needed for two families, was fully equipped, very clean and the beds were very comfy. We love Watersports so spent every day in the sea. The outside hot shower was great and the boathouse was perfect for storing all the paddleboards etc. The location is amazing and you can just walk out onto the beaRead morech. The local fish n chip shop, raipur curry house and cafe were lovely. There is lots to do locally for families Hide

We had a fabulous holiday at Wave Crest. The location right on the beach was unbeatable; we loved the sheltered outside eating area and bbq. There was plenty of space for our 3 families. We would definitely come again.

This was our third booking at beautiful Wavecrest. We will be back for a fourth visit, no doubt. We love the location above all, but the house itself is pretty special as well. Masterfully renovated, light, modern but with character. Spacious even for 10 people. Garden and beach equipment are also wonderful. This was a fabulous house for a get-together with the family. We were very lucky with the weather and spent a lot of time on the beach, in the sea and making use of the private beach garden for barbecues and eating out. The house was spacious and the beds were very comfortable - but it is the beach location that makes it really special!

This beach house was perfect in everyway- clean, tidy, beautifully decorated. Felt like a home but also like a hotel. Location and garden and beach access were a dream!! Would definitely stay again and highly recommend!
