This traditional stone cottage, set in a picturesque courtyard with nine other properties, is a perfect base for you and your dogs to explore North Devon. For a peaceful break in the countryside with a shared heated outdoor pool, this is a well-situated setting for a small family and up to two dogs, though your dogs need to be on a lead on the site and should avoid the pool area.

The cottage is welcoming and relaxing, with an open-plan lounge/dining area and well-equipped kitchen. Outside, why not relax in the shared BBQ area with picnic tables and garden chairs? The cottage shares the outdoor 40ft swimming pool and your children will enjoy the swings and slides in the shared play area. They are also welcome to watch the chickens being fed, the eggs collected, and to meet the sheep, goats and the rare-breed pigs. Surrounding the complex are 15 acres of communal farmland where you can walk the dogs or just simply admire the stunning countryside and coastline.

Within 100 metres is a dog-friendly gastropub. Westward Ho! (1 mile) is a friendly Victorian coastal resort offering many attractions, including a popular surfing beach, the golf club, tennis courts and National Trust cliff-top walks. Northam Burrows Country Park is within 5 miles. The market town of Bideford (4 miles) offers a selection of shops and a pannier market, along with day trips to Lundy Island (dogs with their sea legs welcome). Walk or cycle the Tarka Trail (12 miles), enjoy visits to Tapeley Park and Gardens (5 miles), RHS Rosemoor Gardens (12 miles) or simply enjoy the wonderful local dog-friendly beaches (in low season) and countryside.

Great stay. Lively location and we enjoyed being able to walk to the beach. Its a bit of a climb but we all loved it! The pool was also a very nice addition and was never too busy which was also a nice treat. All in all very enjoyable stay and cant wait to come back :)

We enjoyed our stay. The cottage was well equipped. The parking was easy and the pool was well looked after and clean. Great location for exploring north Devon. The local Beaches are beautiful and we saw Dolphins on our first evening down at Westward Ho! Lovely places to visit like Clovelly, Appledore and Woolacombe beach. You can walk to Westwood Read moreHo! Where the restaurants and beach is But not easy with small children. We would stay again. Hide

Couldnt fault the accommodation and was lovely to have an enclosed garden for dog (who loved the walks) especially down to the beach and back (tho a bit hilly). The pool was fab, couldnt get the boys out of there!! Will definitely book again

Our stay at Goldings cottage was great. It was equipped with everything you need and more. The owners are lovely and always keeping the areas clean including the pool. We made some amazing memories of my little boy swimming for the first time. Its certainly a relaxing place and the park is a lovely addition. Over all, the cottage was ok and quiet for sleeping, and within easy driving distance of various locations. One of the reasons we booked the cottage, was so we could have use of the swimming pool and disappointed when we were told it was closed.

Just had a most enjoyable stay at the beautifully clean and excellently equipped Goldings Cottage, the owners could not have been nicer people making us feel very welcome. Would thoroughly recommend and would love to return again in the future.

Goldings cottage was lovely and we really enjoyed our break. The cottage was immaculate, and we appreciated the little touches, such as bottles of the local brew, waiting for us on the dining table. It's quiet location, and the lovely outdoor pool, made for a lovely holiday. We cannot wait to go back

Beautiful cottage overlooking the pool area, very comfortable and cosy, had everything we needed, surroundings were stunning, lovely gardens and bbq area. Good location and in easy reach of Westward Ho!
