Equipment for dogs was very helpful, including a cover for a chair. Proximity of access various parts of the Tarka Trail was a benefit for us. The Half Moon pub in Sheepwash had excellent food, ambience and was dog friendly. Parking at the cottage is safe and the garden is enclosed. Hose to rinse muddy dog was useful.

The cottage was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and had an upmarket feel about it. It was good that the bathroom lead off from the bedroom giving the impression of a large ensuite . The cream tea provided on arrival was very welcome and matched the cottage's name - " Truly Scrumptious"! Some cottages that accept dogs give off the vibe that theRead morey just tolerate them but at this one they positively welcome them . The gardens are really beautiful. The owners - John & Anna were very friendly . Hide

Truly Scrumptious is a remote place. You'll have to walk a while or drive to get to anywhere else, so if seclusion is what you need, this is the place for you. It's cosy - so much so that we had the heating off for most of a late October week - and very clean. The owners' garden, which you'll have access to, is large and absolutely lovely. There arRead moree plenty of thoughtful touches, like the cupboard space in the kitchen and high-vis jackets for humans and a dog for walking the lanes at night. Hide
