This charming lodge, situated within Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, is perfect for a romantic getaway - as long as your pups can come too! Sleeping two in a peaceful and relaxing bedroom with space for up to two dogs, you're in prime position for magnificent views over Loch Earn with plenty of beautiful walking trails right on your doorstep. Try the scenic 5-mile Glen Tarken Trail through woodland and open moorland that starts less than half a mile up the road next to a hotel, or head to Crieff (12 miles) where you can explore both highlands and glens.
The property, which has two dog friendly restaurants and bars within walking distance, is cosy and comfortable. The kitchen in the open-plan living area has a bright, contemporary twist on the traditional, while the inviting sofa in the lounge beckons you to sit back in front of the fire, your canines curled up by your feet. At night, leave the hounds snuggled in the lounge and head to your bedroom; wake up amongst soft, pretty decor and take in the morning with a coffee outside in the private seating area. Sizzle up a BBQ out here in the evening, you'll also find am enclosed fenced garden area to keep your dogs in.
If fishing is your thing, you're in the right place - the River Earn, less than a mile from the lodge, is renowned for its excellent salmon and sea trout fishing. Try your hand at water skiing, wakeboarding and kayaking at the Loch Earn Water sports Centre, just 6.5 miles away, or if you're after a more peaceful activity go for a round of golf at St Fillans Golf Club (1 mile). Plus, there are walking trails in every direction from the lodge, so you can wear out the hounds before a quiet night in.
