Pick up the Sett Valley Trail from its starting point in Hayfield village (1.5 miles) and enjoy a pleasant 2.5-mile traffic-free stroll along its length. Explore 25 acres of nature reserve at the Torrs Riverside Park, New Mills (3.5 miles) or take the lead and enjoy a riverbank walk through the Torrs gorge. Further afield is the market town of Glossop (5 miles) where you can browse the many independent shops or take a break in a dog-friendly tearoom.
