On arrival, you’ll find a welcome pack with tasty treats for everyone, so your holiday starts the moment you walk in the door.

The property, which has its own private walled gardens, is brimming with character. The kitchen has everything you’ll need to cook up a storm, while the restored oak beam vaulted ceiling beckons you to sink into the sofas in the lounge in front of the wood burner, the pups at your feet. All the bedrooms have a boutique feel thanks to the high apex ceilings and beams; wake up surrounded by calming, neutral decor and head to the enclosed garden with your morning coffee. Sizzle up a BBQ out here in the evenings for an al fresco bite to eat.

Conveniently located on the A438, you’re in a great position to explore the Brecon Beacons and beyond. The town of Brecon (16 miles) boasts plenty of dog-friendly pubs and restaurants and is situated on the River Usk where you can have a peaceful day out fishing. Just get your permit from Crickhowell (20 miles). If you’re feeling more adventurous, hire out canoes and take a trip down the River Wye from nearby Glasbury (4 miles). For some city living, you’re only 22 miles from Hereford, with its impressive cathedral housing the ancient Mappa Mundi.

• 2 dogs allowed. Dogs are charged at £20 each per full or part week
• There is an Accidental Damage Deposit of £500 when booking at this property, however this may be waived for £50. We’ll provide more details about this when booking your holiday.
