Set on the edge of a quiet hamlet, this traditional-style cottage is the perfect relaxing getaway for the family; up to four people over two bedrooms, as well as two dogs. Enjoy one of the lovely walks from the cottage before coming home and putting your feet up to the cosy wood burner, with the first basket of logs already thought of and provided.
The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner follows a traditional look which adds to the cosy feel of the overall property. When you arrive, you are welcomed with a teatime treat, whilst exposed wood beams and stone wall beckon you to one of the comfortable sofas in the lounge with your canine curled up at your feet. Upstairs, there are two light bedrooms with pretty interiors, one with lovely views of the Sugar Loaf. Wake up in the morning and grab a morning coffee to enjoy in your private garden with lawn and table and chairs, or why not have a BBQ in the evening.
Numerous trails are accessible from the cottage, making great walks for you and your four-pawed pal. If you’d rather, bike hire is available locally and storage easily arranged. Furthermore, don’t forget to try out some mountain biking and off-road biking during your stay. Spend a day at the market town of Abergavenny which is just 3 miles away, with a variety of things to do including a visit to the Norman Castle, the farmer’s markets, cinema or the well-established annual Food Festival in September. Further afield, Hay-on-Wye is 26 miles away with lots of shops including book stores, as well as offering a scenic drive through the mountains.
