Set the outside world on pause during a relaxing holiday at this delightful mews-style townhouse overlooking the Victorian seaside town of Ilfracombe. Within easy reach of Exmoor National Park and the South West Coast Path, the dog-friendly townhouse offers an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, spacious bedrooms and sits within 300 metres of the town’s popular beach.

This beautiful three-storey property stands on one of the many streets that feed towards Ilframcombe’s bustling promenade. Its deceptively large interior has a fresh and contemporary feel thanks to characterful soft furnishings and absorbing colour palettes. The snug area on the ground floor is an ideal place for guests on two and four paws to grab some quiet time and it sits across from a handy utility room. Gather together in the comfort of the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to create and enjoy indulgent meals before and after a day spent exploring the coast, catching an evening film or relaxing and enjoying the sea views beyond. After a day well spent, head up to the second floor where there are three bedrooms to choose from - a king-size bedroom with a Juliet balcony, a double bedroom and a bunkroom - all of which are served by a plush family bathroom. The enviable views from the king-size bedroom and the balcony off the lounge compensate for the lack of any substantial outside space at the townhouse.

The area surrounding the cottage includes some of North Devon’s most popular coastal attractions. The South West Coast Path (300 metres) runs close to Ilfracombe’s bustling town centre and beach, while Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton Sands (within 10 miles) are all surfing hotspots. For a longer day out, Exmoor National Park (3.5 miles) offers a rugged coastline and breathtaking landscapes ripe for exploration on foot or by pedal power.

Fantastic property in a great location right in the middle of Ilfracombe. 2 min walk to the High Street and the seafront. Very comfortable inside with great amenities. The entrance to the property is very very tight, and we only just squeezed a Ford Focus through there, you wouldn't get anything bigger through.

We really enjoyed our stay at Market Mews. The property was very well equipped with lots of personal touches. What I would say though is that more explanation could be given as to how tight the entrance is. I have a Ford Focus and could barley get my car down the alley way. In fact I scuffed my bumper and whilst we were there we saw someone with a Read moreVolkswagen Polo smash a wing mirror and another car scaped their bumper quite badly. Hide

Wonderful, comfortable, quality, clean accommodation. The pictures on the site reflect the property well. Anyone with a large car/roof box will struggle to fit through the narrow passageway to access the courtyard where the garage is located (circa 2m wide x2m high) but there is a P&D carpark nearby. A lovely town house with everything you need for a relaxing holiday and all essentials you need. It is also only a short walk to shops,pubs restaurants, harbour and you are spoilt for choose.There is also many local waikato explore.

We had a fabulous holiday and found the cottage was in a lovely central location, close to coffee shops, restaurants, sea walks and the cinema. Any queries we had were promptly answered and resolved by the host. We would definitely return and recommend.

Great location close to everything. Plenty of space in the property. Parking in the garage was fine but ther e is also plenty of parking elsewhere. nice views of the sea and Landmark Theatre from the living area and main bedroom. we hope to return another time

The property is in very good condition and nicely set out. Very clean and well presented. The location of the property is central and close to all amenities, however it is a less pleasant part of town. Very steep hill to access the property. Parking wasn't good my car fit in the garage, however other cars parked correctly opposite it blocked our exRead moreit and entry on several occasions. Access to the courtyard is difficult especially with badly parked cars. 3 Bedrooms are v hot, only 2 fans provided. Hide
