Enjoying an ideal position near the heart of the picturesque city of Wells, this cosy and attractive cottage offers delightful accommodation for three guests and a dog, and is an ideal romantic spot for a couple looking to enjoy the Somerset countryside. Perfect for exploring the dramatic and breathtaking Mendip Hills (within 10 miles), this lovely property is also a fantastic base for exploring the historic spa city of Bath (20.5 miles), the beautiful Cranborne Chase (22 miles) and the unique Somerset Levels (19.5 miles).

Accessed via a couple of steps, this comfortable and charmingly decorated cottage features a delightful lounge which is an ideal space to unwind in at the end of a fantastic day. With a comfortable sofa and a window seat, you can curl up with a good book or enjoy a movie in front of the pebble-effect electric fire. There’s a delightful dining area, and the light and welcoming kitchen is perfect for preparing a meal. Outside, there’s a small and enclosed courtyard back garden where you can relax and enjoy a morning coffee, a BBQ or a drink in the evening.

The cottage is less than a quarter of a mile from the centre of Wells, a beautiful city which welcomes dogs and their owners. Your dog can accompany you as you visit Wells Cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace, or you could head to Cranmore (9 miles) and take a trip on a steam train on the East Somerset Railway. Dogs are also welcome at Glastonbury Abbey (7 miles), Nunney Castle (12.5 miles) and the gardens at Stourhead (22 miles – some restrictions apply). There are many wonderful locations to explore, including Glastonbury Tor (7.5 miles) and Cheddar Gorge (11 miles), with the beautiful Mendip Hills offering miles of fantastic walks.

Great cottage in a good location. Nice short walk into the city centre.

In the file it says we would be left tea ,coffee and milk. .There was none. On arrival the cottage had not been serviced but this was quickly rectified after we had phoned holiday cottages.

Comfortable little cottage in a quiet position very close to city centre. Well equipped but some furniture needs updating. Parking space in front of cottage very small; difficult to get out as lane too narrow to turn around due to parked cars so we had to reverse out into the main road through a very narrow gap due to the car next door always beingRead more badly parked too far out. We (Grandma + 2 Grandchildren (6 + 8) loved to stay in this tiny cottage, especially the children, it made them feel at home and cosy immediatly. We were happy that the town and the shops, also the bus station were within walking distance, absolutely ideal, and the bus stop to Bath only a few steps away in St. Thomas Street.
