Enjoy a taste of farm life from the delightful comforts of a charming home-from-home. Located in the attractive county of Lancashire, this wonderful cottage, sleeping ten people, is set on a working farm and invites you to meet many of its furry and feathery residents! A real gem, this property also has space for your four dogs meaning that no one gets left behind. Take a walk on the wild side and revel in a well-earned break from the daily routine.

Set within the owners’ grounds, you can enjoy comfort and privacy from this country retreat. Sporting a lovely open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, your friends and family can come together to help prepare meals and catch up. Pull up a pew in front of the TV as a waggy-tailed pup laps up some attention after a long day exploring, playing, running and more playing. With period features, like the open wooden beams, stylishly balanced with modern furnishings, everyone can enjoy the cosy atmosphere and settle in. Outside, a private patio offer four-legged guests the chance to have a little runaround, whilst two-legged guests will make the most of the seating area and BBQ. At the end of the day, five bedrooms await for a blissful night’s sleep.

Set between country and coast, you and your tufty-pawed friends will be spoilt for choice for places to go. For a breath of salty, sea air and games on the sand, Knott End-on-Sea is 4 miles away. Stare across at views of Morecambe Bay and the Lake District fells beyond and watch kite-fliers send their kites soaring into the sky above. In the opposite direction, a 13-mile drive will take you to the fringes of the Forest of Bowland, where dog-friendly paths and trails are aplenty.

The house and layout itself is lovely, but its a little tired, not as clean as we'd expect and there are a number of maintenance jobs required that appear to have been reported previously. The two spaniels running out barking would not be suitable for a reactive dog, or anyone who is scared of dogs, and the young man wandering round the farm with aRead more huge air rifle was a bit disconcerting. However, we did have a nice holiday with lots of walking on the coast and in Calder Vale and Arnside. Hide

A very comfortable and spacious property in a lovely location. Tastefully furnished. Easily wheelchair accessible all throughout ground floor. Welcome scones were a nice touch. Ideal for a multi-generational family visit. Easy day trips to Lancaster, Liverpool and Blackpool and other areas.

Beautiful cottage, but could do with some updating. Lovely seeing the chickens roaming freely around. Nice you can see and feed the pigs.

The building and location stunning unfortunately the house was unacceptably dirty in areas and furniture broken and/or tired. Downstairs floor was broken and dippy to the point of feeling unsafe in places. Would not return to this accommodation.

It was very welcoming to find a plate of freshly made scones batter, jam and clotted cream on arrival. On the whole it was clean and homely but in need of a little TLC. Our main concern was the wooden flooring which creaked throughout, and needed replacing / repairing in places as damaged areas were unsafe especially for anyone with mobility issRead moreues. In need of varnishing to improve appearance. Lovely to have a cottage in a rural area yet within easy walking distance of village amenities.
