Situated almost equidistant from both Cornwall’s north and south coasts, this property is an excellent choice if you are wanting to spend some time exploring the county’s beautiful beaches and harbour towns. The property itself is a light, airy, and stylish barn conversion surrounded by peaceful countryside and offering a private, enclosed courtyard garden as well as a shared grassed area.

A tranquil rural idyll, this property is one of three at this location. The outside space is fantastic for both human and canine guests to relax in and is also ideal for al fresco dining. From the patio, you can walk directly into the spacious lounge which has been finished in understated tones and has plenty of comfortable space for you to sit and for your dogs to stretch out. Two bedrooms can be found upstairs, a king-size and a super-king which offers the flexibility of zip-and-link beds allowing it to be set up as a twin on request. Outside of the property’s private area, there is a shared grassed area, in addition to which guests are able to use the owner’s fantastic brick-built open-air pizza oven by prior arrangement: a fun option for a relaxed dinner on a summer’s evening.

Enjoying a lovely rural location, this property is just a 1-mile walk from the village of Shortlanesend, which is a convenient spot to pop to for stocking up on supplies at the village shop, or for enjoying a meal at the village pub. The village is even home to a well-regarded restaurant, which affords a gorgeous setting amongst lily ponds and offers a fabulous menu of locally-sourced food. Continuing a little further from the property, you will soon reach Truro (3.5 miles) where there is a good range of shops, as well as an impressive cathedral.

A lovely cottage in a beautiful location. Extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful owners - who went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect! Very enjoyable and relaxing holiday. We will definitely be returning at some time in the future!

We had a lovely stay at Rose Cottage - great location to explore Cornwall. Cottage itself was beautiful, with everything we needed for an enjoyable stay - beds were super comfy and we loved the lemon drizzle cake that welcomed us ! Would definitely recommend
