Floor-to-ceiling windows, wooden furnishings and spacious interiors with a warming wood burner make this bright and airy converted barn a memorable base for exploring the Norfolk countryside. You and five other guests plus one canine companion will be surrounded by nature and wildlife while quaint market towns and historical landmarks will still be within reach during your stay.
Step inside the elegant and spacious open-plan lounge/diner with neutral-toned decor and floods of natural light from the wall of full-length windows, offering views of the garden. Next to the windows is a formal dining table. A wooden staircase leads to a mezzanine level and beneath here is a lounge area with cream sofas and armchairs plus a wood burner which keeps the room cosy and warm. Continue into the traditional kitchen with a ‘U’-shaped fitted wooden unit with dark surface tops. On the mezzanine level is an additional seating area with a wooden beamed ceiling. Completing the interior is a family bathroom plus three bedrooms — a king-size zip-and-link and two doubles, one with an en-suite. Outside you’ll find a lawned garden with a patio, furniture, BBQ and a pond.
Follow the footpath along the river to reach the centre of the nearby market town of Wymondham (1.5 miles) where you can stop for a bite to eat or visit the independent shops and the abbey. You could take a day trip into the picturesque Cathedral city of Norwich (11 miles). Enjoy a hike along the rivers or through the nature reserves of the Broads National Park (19 miles).
