Nature-lovers can enjoy a little wildlife-spotting, with deer and buzzards all around, and there are plenty of tranquil walks for you and your hounds through the owner’s fields.The property is close to the Tamar Lakes (5.5 miles) where you can enjoy a great selection of water sports. You are close to the northern coast of Devon and Cornwall, with many dog-friendly seaside resorts to be discovered, including Bude (12.5 miles) and Clovelly (15 miles).
This beautifully converted farm building has plenty of charm, and retains some original features including wooden beams, exposed stonework and a warming wood burner. Set on one level, the cottage features a comfortable and spacious open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Snuggle up and watch a movie in the lounge – a sofa bed allows a couple of additional guests to stay – or enjoy a romantic dinner for two. When the day ends, retire to the cosy double bedroom with its romantic four-poster bed. An enclosed garden is handy for the family canines and there’s also an outdoor play area for children. You can also play table football and table tennis in the shared games barn.
An ideal base for exploring the northern coast of Devon and Cornwall, there are plenty of local attractions, many of which are happy to welcome dogs, including the Gnome Reserve (5.5 miles), the Milky Way Adventure Park (12.5 miles) and Docton Mill Garden and Tearooms (12.5 miles). You can enjoy wonderful walks with the dogs in Morwenstow (12 miles) and along sandy beaches including Summerleaze in Bude, as well as the beautiful Widemouth Bay (15 miles).
