One of three cottages on a working farm, this homely, converted barn, with a private patio and a shared lawn, is perfect for a getaway with friends or family and your four-legged family member. From here, you can explore the Cornish coast on foot, try water sports, and visit some of Cornwall’s gems, including the village of Coverack.
The barn conversion has traditional features and stylish interiors that create a welcoming home from home. Go inside to the cosy lounge/diner, with sofas to sit and watch TV or a movie, and a dining table and rustic chairs for sociable mealtimes. Prepare tasty fare in the galley-style kitchen, with everything you need under the high ceiling and wooden beams. Head up the cottage-style stairs to bed in the two pretty bedrooms: the master double has quirky original features and an en-suite shower room, and the twin (or super-king-size) bedroom has lovely wooden beams, and great storage in the wardrobe and chest of drawers. There’s also a family bathroom. Take your drink out and sit on the walled/gated patio at the front where your canine companion can potter. There’s also a shared lawn at the rear where the kids can run around, and you’re welcome to explore the farm’s 150 acres and meet the resident cows.
Wander the footpaths to Coverack (1 mile); the scenic coastal village has a pub and cafes, a pretty harbour, and a lovely beach your four-legged friend can go on all year (on a lead in the summer months). Discover the coastal walks from the village in both directions to pretty coves and beaches. Visit the Cornish Seal Sanctuary (10 miles), the tidal island of St Michael's Mount (21.5 miles), and Lizard Point (10.5 miles), the southernmost point of Britain.
