Located in Gardenstown, the largest of three neighbouring fishing villages along this captivating coastline, this ground-floor apartment is surrounded by spectacular rugged coastal scenery, headlands and bays that have served as the backdrop for various television programs and inspired artists. With its crackling wood burner in the cosy lounge area, a private garden and a 300-metre walk to the local dog-friendly beach, enjoy a family seaside holiday with your entire pack at this homely coastal retreat.

Upon entering, you'll be welcomed by a beautifully presented open-plan living space. The well-equipped kitchen, separated by a low dividing wall, has everything you need for a stress-free self-catering stay. Enjoy your evening meals at the modern dining table and chairs, then unwind in the comfortable lounge while Fido sleeps in the warmth of the wood burner. Choose from a selection of DVDs, watch Freeview TV or listen to music via the iPod/iPhone dock and Bluetooth speaker. Follow the hallway to discover the shower room, painted in seaside blue. Continue to the spacious double bedroom (which can be converted to a twin on request) or the twin room with two small divan beds. Outside to the rear, there’s a hillside garden and a patio with an outdoor table and chairs, providing a delightful space to enjoy the fresh sea air while Rover explores his new surroundings.

The cafes, shops and pubs of Gardenstown are practically on your doorstep, and the location offers plenty of sandy beaches and rocky coves to explore, with canine companions welcome on Gardenstown Beach year-round. Regular visits from dolphins, seals and a variety of sea birds add to the coastal charm, and there’s even the occasional whale sighting close to shore. We really enjoyed our stay at Balai House. Friendly welcome and lovely welcome pack given. We found the cottage to be very well equipped, especially for our baby who was with us (travel cot, high chair, baby bath, changing mat, nappy bin all provided). Lovely little town that we had good fun exploring.

It was like home from home, so comfortable. We really didnt want to leave. Chris gave a welcome pack that was very generous. Parking not always available but plenty of parking in the harbour car park. Would love to return in the future.

Perfect property in a perfect spot. Mr Broom was very helpful getting us settled in and was on hand if we needed anything (we didnt) 5 mins to the beach, 2 mins to the harbour, a handy wee shop right next door and a pub at the top of the road. Everyone very friendly in the town. Really great time away

Comfortable cottage but no where to let dogs out for early morning and late night run. Only walk to beach. We did find some grass at gospel church but not ideal. Most things closed Mon to wed so no where to eat at night unless you go out in car. Lovely welcome pack in cottage.

This cottage was excellent. It was very clean and very well equipped. We received a good welcome and the owners provided a very good welcome pack of foods. We would fully recommend this cottage however it was not always able to park close-by.

What a lovely place to stay! We travelled up on Monday 19th September 22 and stayed until Friday 23rd. The owners greated us when we arrived and told us of many different places to visit which we found very helpful. All the people we saw in Gardenstown were very welcoming, the pub was really nice and the 'wee shoppie' well stocked and reasonably prRead moreiced. We had lots of lovely walks with our dogs roly and bo. Many thanks, Chris and Becca Hide

Apartment was clean and very well equipped, owner was very pleasant and helpful. There were two negatives for us, lack of parking and nowhere to walk the dogs without driving away from the property. Due to the issue with parking this property is not suitable for anyone with physical mobility issues.
