This wonderful property, situated within half a mile’s walk of the South West Coast Path, is the perfect retreat for small families or couples – not forgetting Fido! Sleeping four guests across two cosy bedrooms, this bungalow is the ideal bolthole for discovering the stunning coastal scenery that’s right on your doorstep. Head down the cliff path to the hidden beach or stroll along the coast path Hartland Point (1 mile) to take in the dramatic scenery. Children and dogs will enjoy Hartland Abbey and Gardens where there are lots of things to sniff out and explore.
The holiday home, which is next door to the main farmhouse, welcomes you in with a quaint country style. The rustic kitchen/diner has everything you need to cook the family a hearty meal after a long day out walking, while calming neutral tones in the living room ensure that you can wind down peacefully in the evening; relax with a good book in front of the pebble-effect fire or enjoy your favourite show on TV. The pretty garden has lots of sunny spots for the pup to snooze while you fire up the BBQ and enjoy an al fresco meal among tranquil surroundings.
Children will love the beaches and attractions at Westward Ho! (16 miles) or Summerleaze (19 miles); your pup can join you on both beaches, but Westward Ho! has some restrictions during the summer. The hound is welcome at the Milky Way Adventure Park (7 miles) which has fun for all the family, including laser quest, rollercoasters and trains. For something a bit different, pop to the Gnome Reserve and Wildflower Garden (13 miles) where you can even walk around with your own hat and fishing rod so the gnomes think you’re one of them!
