Enjoy sundowners on the patio and fill your lungs with wonderfully fresh Scottish air as you relax under the stars.

Step inside this delightful bungalow and throw off coats and boots in the handy utility room. Equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer, it’s perfect for towelling off muddy paws and tousling down soggy fur to ensure the rest of the home stays clean and cosy. Put your feet up in the snug lounge which boasts breathtaking views and is a great spot for gathering with a cup of tea to plan the next adventure. When tummies begin to rumble, head into the kitchen/diner and raid the cupboards for tasty snacks; with light flooding in from the windows, this is a light airy space in which to rustle up a feast. Rest weary heads in the bedrooms which are pleasantly decorated in tranquil tones to ensure a peaceful night’s sleep.

Local Laggan is 5.5 miles from home and has yummy eateries and a handful of shops to browse should you need a morning off from outdoor adventure. Lace up your walking boots before heading into the stunning Cairngorms National Park for a day of hiking, stick-chasing and exploring. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife including golden eagles, twinflowers and red squirrels. Wrap up warm and take to the slopes at the Ski and Snowboard School, 30 miles away in Aviemore, to feel the rush of adrenaline.

cottage was amazing everything you could think of was provided. Shirley couldn't do enough for us. area is beautiful and so quiet. the bird feeder at the kitchen window was stunning. absolutely loved our holiday was a shame we didn't book longer.

Wagtail Watch is a very comfortable cottage in a peaceful setting with beautiful views all around . The feeding station opposite the kitchen window is an added bonus and we were able to watch squirrels, hares and a variety of birds at various times during the day. Lovely warm cosy cottage. We loved every minute. The abundant wildlife around the cottage kept us entertained, and its close enough to the Cairngorms for day trips. Hopefully we will return. Definitely recommend a stay for anyone who likes peace and quiet.

I loved my stay at Wagtail, it's a lovely cottage surrounded by beautiful scenery, visiting wildlife to the garden and a great Coffee Bothy a short walk to the village. The cottage had everything I desired. Can't wait to go back.

Wonderful cottage in a superb quiet tranquil location. Nothing fancy, just very comfortable, clean and practical - perfect! Owners replenish wildlife feeders regularly and its great to see all the birds, red squirrels and hares feeding together. We first came to this cottage in 2004 and have been back many times since because we love this quieter end of the Spey valley. The house is warm and comfortable and has magnificent views over the surrounding countryside and more distant mountains - and the garden has wildlife galore, though we have yet to see a wagtail! We had a wonderful holiday! The cottage is fully equipped. Otherwise it is a very comfortable house, good shower, good beds. Besides, the view is amazing! There are all kinds of animals that can be seen around the house: hares, pheasants, squirrels, deer, birds, even an ermine. I loved it here, I was holidaying for a week with my 4 legged companion. Location was superb and I found the cottage to suit all my needs. There is a lot of wildlife that visits the garden too.

This cottage was ideal for us great wildlife right outside the window. Ideal location for visiting Speyside and Lochaber.
