Dating back to the 19th century, this charming property makes a delightful holiday home for couples and smaller families exploring the Scottish Borders. Within easy reach of Edinburgh, the cottage lies in a friendly village and offers quaint, welcoming accommodation for up to four guests, with plenty of space for a pet dog to tag along. Originally two separate weaver’s cottages, the property features exposed stonework and a roaring wood burner, and has been tastefully furnished to provide a relaxing holiday getaway for eager walkers and cyclists discovering a spellbinding part of Scotland.

Entering this characterful cottage, the cosy open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner makes a great space to settle back and unwind after a wonderful day. Featuring comfortable seating including a quaint window seat, the lounge also has a welcoming wood burner set against a stone wall, providing a fantastic spot for your four-legged fried to curl up while you watch a movie on the Smart TV. The stylish breakfast bar is perfect for sharing family meals which you can rustle up in the fully equipped kitchen to the rear. The ground floor also has a refreshing bathroom with underfloor heating, and a lovely king-size bedroom. In the hallway a flight of stairs leads up to a charming mezzanine-style bedroom with twin beds and a PlayStation, perfect for younger guests. Although the cottage has no garden there’s plenty of open space in the village, perfect for walking your canine companion and taking in delightful views.

Just had a fantastic week in West Linton. Linton cottage is lovely. Very comfortable, well equipped, clean and tastefully decorated. Lovely walks from the front door. It was a great base to explore the area. West Linton is a lovely village, and Linton Cottage is a short walk from the pub, coffee shop and Co-op. We caught the bus into Edinburgh for Read moretwo days exploring this wonderful city. And the local garage came to our rescue when we had car trouble. We had a great time, highly recommended! Hide

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage. The owners left a very thoughtful welcome pack for us on arrival. We found it to be a very well stocked, and comfortable cottage, within easy driving distance of Edinburgh's Park and Ride. The village of West Linton was extremely character - full too. Would definitely recommend it to friendsRead more and family Hide
