Sink into comfortable sofas in the charming lounge where patio doors can be thrown open to let the fresh air and sunshine flood inside. Switch on the TV for a cosy evening before heading through to the kitchen in time for dinner. Hungry tummies can be filled in the open-plan kitchen/diner, a smart space which welcomes you to experiment with flavour before savouring each mouthful at the table. Enjoy an al fresco tipple on the patio and gaze across the hills of Galloway whilst your furry guest stretches their legs and sniffs out new scents. Retire to bed in one of two pleasantly styled bedrooms where heads are invited to doze off as they hit the pillows in these peaceful rooms. The master room has an en-suite and a further family bathroom is a great post-walk pit-stop for towelling down soggy fur.

Visit the Kirroughtree visitor centre which is 3.5 miles from home and sits in the Galloway Hills: here you can explore trails, go in search of wildlife and enjoy a spot of mountain biking if you are a two-legged guest. For those of you with four legs who might enjoy a stick chase, paddle or frolic in the sand, travel 14 miles to Garlieston Beach and Wigtown Bay, where dogs are welcomed all year round.

A very quiet, comfortable and well equipped cottage with fantastic views over Newton Stewart and the hills beyond. You can easily walk into town either along the main street or along the cycle way beside the river which is beautiful (although the driveway is quite steep and may be difficult for some). Perfectly situated for exploring the Galloway FRead moreorest, and for both countryside and coastal walks. Favourite places: Wigtown, Isle of Whithorn, Mull of Galloway and Portpatrick. A very comfortable and well equipped cottage ,ideally situated for exploring Dumphries and Galloway. The wine, milk and flowers on arrival was very welcome.

A lovely comfortable well equiped cottage with stunning views. A nice patio area with bbg and seating which was just perfect for relaxing and eating outside. Ideally situated for visiting the Galloway Forest with its numerous walks and lochs
