Enjoy the peace and quiet at this thatched two-bed barn conversion in a lovely location on the outskirts of Northiam. This property has absolutely got the wow factor with its huge living area complete with authentic features. One dog is welcome, and any canine chum will have a ball here on holiday. You can revel in the peace and quiet, but there are things to do in the surrounding countryside including National Trust properties, coastal hot spots and more countryside walks than you can shake a stick at.
This spacious barn is both cosy and bright and airy with its lofty open-plan lounge/diner boasting a double-height vaulted ceiling, exposed wood beams and frame, a wood burner and stone-effect flooring. Floor-to-ceiling windows give wonderful light and splendid views. There’s loads of useful storage and unusual places to sit and take some time out too, including a second lounge with a sofa bed and armchairs. Up one set of stairs is a mezzanine space with chairs, ideal for reading, leading to a king-size en-suite bedroom. Up another set of stairs from the lounge is the other en-suite king-size bedroom. The quaint bedrooms are elegant with light decor and furnishings but retain rustic detail like beautiful beams exposed in the charming ceilings. Outside, the barn has a walled, paved terrace facing south to catch the day’s last rays as you cook up a delicious BBQ feast. Guests can also enjoy the owner’s grounds including the garden and woodland.
There are no rules on holiday and with great walks from your doorstep, both you and your faithful friend may be perfectly happy staying close to home. But, if you fancy some day trips, why not head to the coast for trendy Hastings (12 miles) or sandy Camber (13 miles)?
