A charming seaside cottage in the heart of Appledore - a traditional fishing village on the North Devon coast. Sleeping four people in three bedrooms, plus a dog, this home is perfect for a small family or group of friends in need of a relaxing break by the sea.
The cottage is on a quiet street with pedestrian access only, and, inside, has a real home-from-home feel. The downstairs has a snug living room with comfortable chairs and a feature fireplace, in front of which a dog is sure to love curling up on cooler nights. The wood burner sits inside a large inglenook adding to the property’s abundance of character. Up a small step to the dining area, and into the kitchen, guests have everything they need for easy and sociable mealtimes whilst on holiday. The back door from the kitchen opens onto the rear courtyard - a great space to let the dog out but also enjoy a morning cup of coffee or glass of wine in the evening. Back inside, carpeted stairs lead to the first floor, where you will find a double bedroom and two single bedrooms. One of the singles has an extra pull-out bed for flexible sleeping arrangements. There is a family bathroom for all to share.
Appledore is hard to beat if you want a quintessential British seaside holiday. It has plenty of pretty, winding streets for you and your dog to discover, while you learn about the town’s rich seafaring history. There are galleries and gift shops to dip in an out of, and the village is full of places to eat and drink which are more than happy to welcome dogs.
