Surrounded by beautiful countryside in the Snowdonia National Park, this secluded log cabin offers an appealing romantic retreat for two and their canine companion. The stylishly furnished holiday home has distant sea views across the treetops and is set in a quiet country club with a swimming pool. Tywyn, a charming coastal village, is just three miles distant, while colourful Aberdovey (7 miles) is a lively centre for sailing and water sports galore.
Return home after a splendid day out and relax on comfortable chairs to admire far-reaching views from the bright living area. There’s lots of space for your pup to nap and a dining table by the feature window, while the neat kitchen has all you need to get cooking. The sumptuous double bedroom and adjacent shower room share a striking blue and black decor. Outside, enjoy the lovely views from the patio and enclosed garden with seating and a BBQ.
Tywyn’s sandy beach is perfect for paddles, rock-pooling and building sandcastles. While some summer restrictions apply, there are designated dog-friendly zones where your tailwaggers can run free. The village has shops with local produce and excellent eateries, and is on the long-distance Wales Coast Path, offering breathtaking vistas at every turn. Hop aboard the delightful Tal-y-llyn Railway heritage steam train from Tywyn (pets are welcome), for a wonderfully scenic journey through southern Snowdonia. You can dismount at Dolgoch station to see the famous triple waterfalls and enjoy a drink and snack at one of two charming cafes along the route. For an offshore view, jump on a sea or river boat cruise from pretty Aberdovey harbour to go sight-seeing, dolphin-spotting and fishing.
