This eye-catching holiday home for six guests and one pup is located in the picturesque village of Goathland, deep in the North York Moors National Park. The village is a popular base for walkers, and has a fantastic range of tea rooms, cafes, and pubs to refuel in at the end of the day. You’ll also be within touring distance of the coast, with Whitby, Scarborough, and Staithes all within 25 miles.
Enter the striking property into the porch, where you’ll find space to store muddy boots and dog-walking gear. From here, move into the cosy lounge, with its elegant ceiling beams and ornamental cast iron fireplace. Unwind here after a long dog walk, catching up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV. The generous kitchen/diner is a great entertaining space, with a choice of seating areas at the breakfast bar or around the formal dining table. You’ll also find ample space here to set up the dog bed. Upstairs, discover the first two bedrooms, along with a stylish shower room. The remaining bedroom is on the second floor with a gorgeous family bathroom. Outside, enjoy family BBQs in the courtyard garden, which is fully enclosed for your canine chum.
Goathland is a fantastic base for walkers and four-pawed explorers, with a plethora of varied routes branching away from the village. Follow the way-marked trail to the impressive waterfall at Mallyan Spout, or perhaps take on the ‘Rail Trail’ which combines a 3.5-mile countryside stroll with a jaunt on one of the steam trains of the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Heading towards the coast, you’ll soon reach the atmospheric seaside town of Whitby, with its imposing clifftop abbey, or the smugglers’ haunt of Robin Hood’s Bay – both great starting points for coastal walks with jaw-dropping views.
