Feel on top of the world as you watch the river go by or dine alfresco on the gorgeous decked area at this three-bed house in Fowey. Your beloved hounds lazing at your feet, naturally. Sheer heaven! This house definitely has the wow factor and any group of six humans and two dogs will enjoy their stay here – whether it’s a family looking for quality time or a mixed group wanting to head out and about. The garden and deck are undoubtedly the stars in decent weather, but the light and airy interiors offer easy modern living with luxury touches and timeless class.
The elegant lounge is bright and airy thanks to huge glass sliding doors and windows overlooking the veranda. There’s also a generous open-plan kitchen/diner downstairs that’s got all you’ll need for self-catering on your break. There’s one en-suite king-size bedroom down here too with access to the decking, while another king-size en-suite and twin bedroom are found upstairs. All three are stylish spaces just right for a restful night. Outside has just as much to offer with a large furnished deck for lazing and eating. There’s also a terraced and enclosed rear garden following the contours of the hill, with more furniture, a fun summer house with seating and gorgeous views plus a BBQ.
Fowey is a delightful old fishing town full of multicoloured cottages with winding streets perched on hillsides, leading down to the harbour and waterside. There are lots of shops and eateries to try out and strong links to Daphne du Maurier – find out more at the Literary Centre. For a fun foray, there’s a car ferry over the estuary to Bodinnick (also takes foot passengers) and a passenger ferry to Polruan for an exciting little jaunt without the hassle of driving.
