In a peaceful setting high up at the entrance to Abersoch, this elegant and welcoming cottage is the perfect destination for families looking for a seaside break with their furry best friend.
Set over two storeys, this stylish holiday home blends traditional features with contemporary comforts for a relaxed and welcoming feel. You’ll enjoy spending time in the delightful, Shaker-style kitchen, with heaps of space for a dining table as well as doggie food bowls. Then, you can gather around the wood burner in the elegant lounge, where exposed beams and local artwork add to the ambience, with your pup snoozing at your feet. On this floor, there is also a convenient utility with laundry facilities and a handy WC. Upstairs, the two handsome king-size bedrooms each have oak beds and fabulous en-suite shower rooms, while a twin bedroom has use of a beautifully tiled, separate bathroom. Outside, French doors from the dining area lead to a paved patio with dining furniture, its elevated position giving entrancing views over the village’s inner harbour and making it the perfect spot for al fresco dining.
As well as exploring Abersoch’s shops, bars, cafes and restaurants, you’ll want to spend time outdoors – the resort is a popular centre for water sports and has numerous lovely beaches as well as fabulous coastal walks. The whole main beach is dog friendly from October to March, with a section (near the golf course) on which pups can sniff around all year. For great surfing, head to Porth Neigwl (Hell’s Mouth) Beach, 5.5 miles away, which is canine friendly and often not too busy, or perhaps pop your pup on a lead and explore the lower woodland of the National Trust’s Plas yn Rhiw, 6.5 miles away.
