Get the whole pack together – up to 14 human guests and two canine chums – for a landmark celebration at this complex of three converted barns near Beckley village. Beautifully renovated, Reynards sleeps six, Medlars and Waders four each. One VIP (very important pup) is allowed in each of the first two properties. Come together to make memories and relish and peace and quiet of the individual properties when you need time out. This property ideally lends itself to an extended, multigenerational gathering of family or friends and the three buildings share the use of a fenced dog paddock.
The accommodation in these former farm buildings is on one level, so no need to worry about old or young dogs or people having to manage tricky stairs. Both dog-friendly properties within this complex (Reynards and Medlars) benefit from light and airy, modern open-plan living areas, with practical wood floors for pampered pooches to find a spot either in a cool corner, sunbathing by the large windows or in front of the cosy wood burner. The buildings nod to their past with magnificent vaulted and beamed ceilings. Reynards offers one double en-suite and two twin bedrooms, while Medlars has one double bedroom and one twin – both en-suite. Waders has this same configuration but does not accept pets. Each building has its own furnished patio, and they share a lawned area with a picnic bench and dog paddock, which all afford lovely views over the uninterrupted countryside.
Enjoy quality time here relaxing and walking the dog on local footpaths. For outings, navigate the winding alleys of the medieval cinque port town of Rye (7 miles) with plenty of independent shops. Or let the dogs go mutts on the beach at Camber Sands (11 miles), or check out the vibrant seaside resort, Hastings (10.5 miles).
