Rustic from the outside, this two-bed barn conversion is super sleek and inviting inside – just right for a couple plus one all-important canine companion. Set on a working vineyard, this property is in a small complex and affords stunning views across the vines and beyond to Romney Marsh and is ideally located for exploring the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. What’s more, you can lie back in the hot tub and enjoy the birds and blue skies by day or stars at night, while Fido snoozes nearby.

Constructed using green oak, this eco-friendly barn offers modern accommodation on one level, with luxurious touches for a comfortable stay. The exposed wood frame in the main lounge/kitchen/diner will take your breath away with its organic curves and vaulted timber ceiling. After a long walk, your four-legged friend will adore lying on the practical tiles with underfloor heating or even in front of the wood burner in cooler weather. Or leave the French doors open to the garden for a nice breeze in summer. For sleeping, pick from a king-size and a twin bedroom. Both make relaxing spaces with handmade furniture, neutral decor and lovely views, sharing a modern bathroom. Outside in the fenced garden, there’s a BBQ and hot tub on the furnished patio area.

The nearest pub is a modest dog walk away (1 mile) if you fancy eating out. Well-behaved woofers are always welcome. For a trip out, the cobbled medieval streets of Rye are 5.5 miles away. Check out various coastal resorts like golden Camber Sands (9.5 miles), the alien landscape of Dungeness (16 miles) or vibrant Hastings (17.5 miles). Or take the lead along the Saxon Shore Way for some serious walking in mindful communion with your furry friend.

Beautiful property, well-thought out design, especially with the enclosed garden for the dog and being able to walk her on the lead around the vineyard. Excellent views over the vineyard to Camber all the way to Folkestone Down. Cottage was tastefully decorated and understated, nothing twee. We were combining our trip with visiting old friends in KRead moreent and the Glebe was a great base. Lovely pub nearby, The Ferry Inn, with delicious food and friendly staff. Lots to do in the area. I love rural Kent and this property had it all. Will certainly be planning to return. Hide

Very comfortable cottage in a peaceful location but within reach of plenty of things to do and places to visit. Nice area to walk a dog and a secure area around the cottage for your furry friend.

The property was very clean and well equipped with a magnificent vista over the vineyards and the marshes beyond. Excellent choice of footpaths on your doorstep which all seem to lead to the really good The Ferry Inn! I would definitely recommend this place. Thank you!
