Large patio doors open onto unobstructed views of the sea in the bright, open-plan living space of this property, with vaulted wooden ceilings. Stay on the south-west coast of Cumbria with up to three other guests and two four-legged friends in this coastal-themed cottage while in reach of the Lake District National Park.
The upside-down layout of this property ensures that the main living area benefits from the best sea views. Wooden, white and blue tones fill the space while skylights and the glass patio doors allow plenty of natural light. Let the sea breeze roll through the room while admiring the views from the dining table which sits beside the doors. Opposite here is the snug lounge area with an ‘L’-shaped sofa and a beanbag. The gloss white one-wall kitchen is contemporary and compact with everything you need to cook a hearty meal for your loved ones. Downstairs you’ll find a family bathroom plus two double bedrooms – one with sea views. Outside is a balcony and a garden which is shared with neighbouring properties.
During your stay in the small coastal village of Haveriff, you’ll be within 0.5 miles of the sandy, dog-friendly Haverigg Beach, the harbour and a handful of eateries. Walk along the Hodbarrow Sea Wall and stop at the Hodbarrow Lighthouse (1.5 miles). Head into the Lake District National Park (3.5 miles) to find the ancient Swinside Stone Circle (7 Miles), the 60ft Stanley Ghyll Waterfall (16 miles) and Coniston Water (16 miles). If you fancy a day in the mountains, visit the Coniston Old Man mountain range (18 miles).
