This spacious holiday home enjoys a picturesque, fellside location, less than 8 miles from Keswick. Sleeping six guests and two canine companions, the accommodation is ideal for large families and groups of friends. The area is a paradise for dog walkers, with footpaths taking you along the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake (2 miles) or to the summit of Skiddaw (6.5 miles).
The attractive slate bungalow has a home-away-from-home vibe, with neutral decor, cosy exposed woodwork, and an abundance of creature comforts. The inviting lounge is a lovely place to unwind after a long walk, watching the Smart TV whilst Rover and Fido toast their paws by the wood burner. On a summer’s day, throw open the French doors so they can potter in and out of the garden. The vast kitchen/diner is a bright and open space, where you can whip up delicious feasts to enjoy together around the dining table. Just off the kitchen/diner is the garage for storing outdoor gear. The property has three beautiful bedrooms, one of which has en-suite facilities, and a family bathroom. Outside, an enclosed garden envelops the bungalow, featuring grassed areas where the pups can play and a sunny seating area for al fresco dining.
Just 12 miles from the property is Whinlatter Forest Park, with its mile upon mile of waymarked walking trails to explore with your waggy-tailed friends. There are also some beautiful picnic spots, adventure play areas, and Go Ape for the adventurous members of the party. The pretty town of Keswick (8.5 miles) has a lot to offer, including fabulous independent eateries, traditional pubs, and cute cafes, many of which welcome four-pawed diners. Keswick sits on the banks of Derwentwater, and a ride with the hounds on the Keswick Launch is a wonderful way to experience the breathtaking surrounding landscape.
