Alternatively, head to Roanhead Beach (2 miles) and let your pup run free on the sand. Walney Island (4 miles) with its salt marshes, dunes, and sandy beaches also welcomes dogs. While here, clip on a lead and explore the nature reserves with its grey seals and migratory birds.
