Enjoy a break in the Kent village of Egerton at this single-storey property with four bedrooms. It’s dog friendly too, so your faithful friend need not be left behind while you holiday with extended family or friends.
There’s plenty of space in this house, so the dog won’t get under your feet – although that won’t necessarily stop it happening! Take advantage of the useful storage in the entrance hall and keep dog towels to hand – just in case. The large lounge offers comfortable sofas, wood floors, a smart TV and double doors through to the equally generous conservatory, complete with reed blind to keep the harshest sun out. Gaze out over the garden and plan your day in the lovely rattan-style furnishings at one end, or enjoy a shared holiday meal at the table seating eight with ease. The kitchen leads off the conservatory too and has loads of cupboards both sides and all mod cons for self-catering plus another smaller table for informal dining. Sleeping accommodation comprises three double bedrooms and one twin, all with en-suite bathrooms. The bedrooms are individually decorated in calming, neutral shades and one has French doors leading into the large, enclosed garden with a furnished patio and attached paddock.
Grab your dog’s lead and head outside to explore the lovely Kent countryside together on foot. Headcorn village is 5 miles away with shops and services and regular train service to London. Tenterden is 9 miles but has lots of independent shops and cafes plus a vets for peace of mind.
The National Trust offers two properties nearby, Vita Sackville-West’s amazing gardens at Sissinghurst (11 miles) and also Smallhythe Place (15 miles), but canine companions must be on leads and can’t access all areas here, only the wider grounds.
