Situated on the North Kent coast in the heart of the seaside resort of Broadstairs, this romantic retreat is perfect for couples and their canine companions. Tucked away on a residential street on the ground floor of a period property, this charming apartment is light, airy and spacious throughout, with hard floors well-suited to sandy paws. Less than 300 metres from the beach and the town’s shops, eateries and amenities, you have everything you’ll need on your doorstep, with early morning walks on the beach a must.

High ceilings and large rooms create a sense of space throughout this delightful apartment, whilst a blend of traditional and contemporary décor adds style and character. On entering, discard sandy shoes or wet coats in the hall before stepping into the dual-aspect lounge/diner which is often flooded with sunlight. When it’s dinner time, head into the well-equipped kitchen to whip up some treats before sinking into the sofa for an evening in. Completing the accommodation is a double bedroom and a contemporary shower room. There is a bench to the front of the property for enjoying a morning coffee in the sun but for more outside space, head to the beach or Victoria Park (300 metres).

Packed with seaside charm, Broadstairs is a great location for a traditional family holiday by the sea. It has several beaches to choose from, a range of children’s activities, water sports and surfing, and a number of museums and galleries to visit, so there’s something for everyone. It’s one of three Victorian and Georgian resorts along this coast, with Ramsgate (2.5 miles) and Margate (4.5 miles) also having an abundance of things to do, including a range of independent shops and eateries. Further afield, you can also visit Canterbury (20 miles) known for great shopping and its cathedral.

The seating in the lounge was a bit dated and the bed could be larger.

We were met by the owner outside the property at 9.15 pm having arranged to text from the train station on arrival in Broadstairs. Thereafter we had no need to make contact as we had no issues whatsoever. The flat is ten minutes walk from the high st shops and the same to the seafront. Frequent buses to Ramsgate and Margate stop just around the corRead morener. Clean, comfortable, well-equipped and conveniently located, Bijou was the perfect base for our holiday. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was spotlessly clean and comfortable and was perfect for our stay. Off street parking was a definite bonus and we would stay here again and recommend it.

This apartment with off street parking is 5 minutes walk from the beach and town centre. It is very comfortable inc. the bed. The smart TV means you can log into your own subscriptions. I would definitely recommend staying there.
