A luxury and contemporary property with sea views and stunning sunsets; with 2 miles of gently shelving beach and a nature reserve on the doorstep, this is the perfect retreat for families and dogs. Ideal for special gatherings of families and friends (plus two furry companions) this superb detached house, designed with the main living space on the first floor to enjoy the beautiful views, is opposite the beach at Greatstone and 4 miles from Dungeness.
With plenty of space for socialising, this impressive home has a choice of two rooms in which to sit and relax. The family room, with glass doors to the garden, is on the ground floor, along with three bedrooms – a king-size with a four-poster bed and en-suite shower, a further king-size (twin on request) and a twin (king-size on request). On this floor are also a family bathroom/WC and a utility room/kitchenette – the ideal place for your pups’ food and water bowls. The main lounge is on the first floor, with comfortable seating around a contemporary wood burner. To one side is the dining area, beside a balcony with sea views, and to the other is the sleek kitchen with a breakfast bar for two. Completing the first floor is a king-size bedroom with sea views and an en-suite, jack-and-jill bathroom. The enclosed, 100’ lawned garden has seating for al fresco meals, a charcoal BBQ and a summer house (with table football) at the far end, where you can hear the chuffs of the miniature steam railway.
Just metres away, Greatstone Beach is a lovely spot for a game of tail-wagging fetch, with water sports on offer for other members of your family. The whole sandy stretch is dog friendly from October to April, while one section welcomes four-pawed pals all year round. The Romney, Hythe & Dymchurch Railway runs behind the property, puffing through picturesque countryside from Dungeness to Hythe. Canine companions are welcome aboard – jump on at New Romney station, 2 miles away.
