Sitting in this tranquil, elevated, riverside location amongst tall trees, you’ll find this peaceful detached cottage with a cosy and contemporary finish.
Perched on a peaceful hillside and surrounded by woodland, this idyllic stone cottage sits in the lovely Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Sleeping four people over two bedrooms and welcoming one canine companion, it’s the perfect retreat for small families or groups of friends who want to spend their days walking the dog in the Yorkshire Dales, and their nights catching up with their loved ones by the cottage’s cosy electric wood burner-effect fire.
Step inside and make yourself at home in the sitting room - the views are gorgeous - before heading on through to the country-style kitchen/diner to rustle up some dinner for your nearest and dearest. Gather the whole gang together to eat in the kitchen/diner, or step outside to dine alfresco in the garden/patio. After dinner, pour yourself a glass of wine and watch the stars come out, or head into the sitting room to put your feet up in front of the electric wood burner-effect fire while your faithful friend enjoys a snooze. At the end of the day, there are two lovely bedrooms to choose from upstairs. When you wake up in the morning, head out to the garden to sip a freshly-brewed coffee - and you might be lucky enough to spot a deer.
Take your pup out for a day with a difference at the dramatic limestone ravine at How Stean Gorge (8 miles). Armed with a hardhat and torch, you’ll follow winding walkways and aerial footbridges to discover the cave systems. Or head to Fountains Abbey (9.5 miles), where there are some nice long walks to enjoy through the water garden, abbey and deer park. Or pack up a picnic and make your way to the Stray in Harrogate (14 miles), where you’ll find 200 acres of grass parkland to explore.
