Attractive barn with enclosed garden on a working farm with uninterrupted valley views near Bala. Perfect for friends and family to relax or take an active break in Snowdonia National Park.
Immerse yourselves in magical countryside close to the fringes of Snowdonia National Park and watch soft ears prick up when you head off on walks across the 220-acre Welsh farm on which this cottage is set. Sleeping four guests, as well as two canine companions, the two-bedroom property is located some 3 miles from Bala and takes in glorious views out across the undulating countryside of this corner of North Wales. Enjoy lake, river and mountain walks then return to the cottage to relax on the enclosed patio at the end of each exhilarating excursion with your happy hounds close by.
Tear yourself away from the views long enough to let yourselves into the single-storey retreat. Usher your furry friends into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner to top up their water bowls and make yourself a cup of tea. There’s a handy washing machine for damp doggy towels, and everything you need to prepare hearty feasts for humans and hounds alike, using your own ingredients. Dine at the table then unwind with your contented canines in front of the Freeview TV or a DVD. Settle them for the night before heading off for a hot shower in the family shower room and then lay your head in one of the twin bedrooms. Stretch furry legs with a morning stroll across the farmland then return for breakfast out in the fresh air in the summer months. There’s parking for two cars at the cottage.
Follow footpaths from the farm to the River Dee. Pack a picnic and a few dog treats and venture 4 miles to Bala Lake, where you can embark upon a 14-mile circuit all the way around. Hop on a dog-friendly lake or river cruise or book a ticket on the narrow-gauge steam train, which also welcomes four-legged travellers.
