Dine at the oak table in the window before settling down on one of the three inviting sofas in front of your favourite TV programme while your faithful friend snoozes at your feet. Spread across the ground and first floors, the three stylish bedrooms and two spa-like bathrooms will leave you looking forward to the end of the day. Nestled in the unspoilt Somerset countryside, this picturesque barn conversion promises peace, tranquility and an excellent choice of local dog walks. Just 6 miles to the east lies the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, 380 square miles of diverse landscape including rolling chalk grassland, ancient woodlands, downland hillside and river valleys. With an abundance of dog-friendly pubs dotted around the area, walkers on both two and four legs can look forward to a hearty meal at the end. Closer to home, a popular farm shop and pub can be found just 2 miles away, while the nearby market town of Shaftesbury, home to the famous Golf Hill, is just 3 miles away and offers a great range of independent shops and cafes.

A wonderful stay over Christmas. The cottage is well presented, clean and has everything you could possibly need. Alot of attention to detail has been paid to the design and decoration. We enjoyed some beautiful sunrises and being able to sit outside enjoying some mulled wine by the fire on Christmas Eve made it extra special. We had a great time at Bears Den, the property was clean, maintained to a high standard and well equipped, the location is great for walking with loads of footpaths to explore. We loved the bear references! The hosts were very accommodating and ensured the stay was enjoyable. Thank you.

Great accommodation with everything you would need, had a fire pit and pizza oven area as well as a BBQ. We really enjoyed our week here especially the very inquisitive sheep. The dog had a great time and we were allowed to walk him in the unused paddocks. Really quite and a great week away for the normal craziness of modern life.

A fabulous place to stay in a lovely quiet setting and close to be able to visit all the tourist attractions in Dorset. Would highly recommend for everyone as the owners have thought of every thing you may need for a relaxing holiday.

We had a great stay at Bears den for my Dad's 60th Birthday. The property is beautiful, spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything you need. It's a great location, and has beautiful views of the countryside. Highly recommend to anyone. Thank you x

We cannot say enough good things about this property! It was just stunning, all the lovely bear touches made Im the cottage feel even more special. Everything has been thought about from a lovely welcome hamper to cosy blankets to snuggle under. The views of the horses every morning took our breath away. Bears den is in a lovely quiet location, but with easy access to many attractions to visit and close to shops. We enjoyed our stay, and so did Billy the cockerpoo! Highly recommended and beautifully presented.

We really loved our stay at Bears den. The property was so clean and well equipped and set in a lovely peaceful location. The owners are very friendly and helpful and have clearly paid great attention to detail. I would recommend Bears den to anyone looking to stay here.
