You can also jump on board the Ullswater steamers, where dogs are welcome, and visit some of the area’s popular spots including Aira Force and Pooley Bridge. Hop in the car and head to the delightful town of Penrith (6 miles) which has an eclectic mix of shops and dog-friendly eateries.
